Lisa and Steve's children were delighted with Gallery Furniture, because now they'll have their game room chairs in the Seabrook home!

You always hear when a competing furniture store doesn't satisfy the needs of a potential customer, but this time was especially hard to hear since most of the order was for the kids' game room - yes, even Gallery Furniture can get shocked from the stories heard by how the other furniture stores treat their customers.  Gallery Furniture found out from Lisa & Steven an interesting tale about some recliners they needed in the game room and living room of their Houston area home.

Lisa & Steven came in with their children to Gallery Furniture looking for some furniture that was easy on their eyes and wallet that could be taken home as soon as possible - basically, TODAY.  So when they purchased some beautiful Gallery Furniture recliners for home, they informed Gallery Furniture that this was their first visit with us and were impressed that we would get them their furniture TODAY!

They were in complete awe of the large assortment of sofas, love seats, and recliners Gallery Furniture offers - and stood very much impressed by the 100,000+ square feet of showroom space.  You see, Lisa & Steven were told by some friends about Gallery Furniture, so they felt the time was right to come on down, save money, and get delivery... Turns out that Lisa & Steven stopped by competitor Bel Furniture near their home in Seabrook and purchased some living room furniture (and some recliners) for their kids' game room.  According to Lisa & Steve, when they were checking out at that store, the associate showed them on a computer screen that they had their specific furniture in-stock and would be delivered "as soon as possible" - which, in our Bel Furniture's world, is the equivalent of one week.  In the Gallery Furniture world, that would be considered 6 days and 23 hours too late - a far cry from "as soon as possible."

Well, lo and behold - Lisa & Steven had no furniture for their kids' game room, much less anything else they ordered about a week later.  On their ninth day of waiting, the delivery truck finally arrived with less furniture than they had ordered.  The delivery man who had arrived from the competitor store then informed Lisa & Steven that they should have been called about not all the furniture being in-stock - so, essentially, it was not the delivery man's fault.

When they called the competitor store and asked about their lack of furniture they were greeted on the phone by what Lisa & Steven called "a rude associate" who apparently explained that "yes, when you purchased we had stock. But it had to be used to fulfill another customer that had been waiting longer."  So much for as soon as possible.  Lisa & Steven then decided that they would rather cancel their order and start over somewhere else.

Another Houston furniture store's grand opening sale turned into a sale for Gallery Furniture.  How did that happen?

Eddie Bilecki was looking for a sectional and thought he'd find it at the grand opening sale of another store.  He was disappointed to find that the other store only had three sectionals to choose from and none of them were what he wanted.

Howdy Mack!  Thanks a ton for letting us talk about the very interesting day we had with our customer, Frank.  Mack, turns out that Frank ordered a complete Houston living room set for his Bayou City home from Finger's Furniture which included a sofa, love seat, and a recliner. It was then scheduled for delivery 14 days after the purchase.  On the 13th of December, the day they expected the furniture to arrive, Fingers only delivered the sofa.  Mack, I don't know about you, but I would be pretty upset if that happened to me.  Well, our customer Frank didn't receive his love seat or recliner, he called the Fingers store and they said that it would be some time AROUND FEBRUARY before the rest of the furniture arrived. He finally had enough and came to Gallery Furniture. They found everything they needed at Houston's number one furniture store - Gallery Furniture - they found it here and had it delivered by the Gallery Furniture Delivery Team TODAY!

Mack, Frank was so thrilled with Gallery Furniture's world class customer service that Frank did not want the other furniture store's stuff in his Houston home. Well, Frank told us he called you, Mack, and asked if we could take the furniture back to Fingers! Naturally, Mack, you said yes and were more than willing to help, and Mack we took that other living room set -  back to Fingers Furniture store! Frank could not have been happier. Here we are, Mack, arriving at Fingers in the Gallery Furniture delivery truck.  Mack, your Gallery Furniture Delivery Team decided the best thing to do was obey the rules of Fingers Furniture and show respect.  Since all deliveries had to go to the same area as the customer loading dock, we decided to do just that.

The Fingers manager, pictured in back on right below, got kinda mad at us - it seems ole Kenny Lay decided that they might have to make an exception for Gallery Furniture and said "HEY! YOU GUYS CAN'T BACK THAT GALLERY TRUCK UP TO THIS DOCK!  IT IS NOT ALLOWED!"  Mack, we promise we were just obeying the rules.

We decided to see what the other Houston Furniture stores do in their inspection process.  Here is one of the other Houston store's workers casually glancing at the furniture pieces they delivered.  When we were asked why we were taking for photos we told them the truth - liability issues, we don't want them saying we did not deliver it back!

Well, Mack, in the end, Frank got his quality, affordable Houston living room set delivered - IN FULL - from Gallery Furniture and he got it the same day!

Customers "DUMP" on Gallery Furniture

Where else in Houston does a furniture store allow customers to use discounts from other stores?  Gallery Furniture!  Henry and Lisa, successful bar owners here in Houston, always wanted to come to Gallery and shop but have never made it in till today.  On the way to Gallery Furniture, they stopped at The Dump to see what they had.  Henry said that they stopped by "the trash one" (he has a great sense of humor).  They felt that the furniture was over priced, looked used and did not want to buy something from the floor.  While they were there, though, they grabbed a discount coupon from the "discount" tree and had a coupon for $50.  Gallery Furniture said they would let them "dump" that coupon here for the same discount. Henry and Lisa loved the store's catering to children with the birds, playground and cafeteria.  Henry has followed the success of Mack for many years and says "thanks Mack for all you do for the city of Houston"  They are getting our "same-day" delivery of their new leather furniture today and said that the sales experience was "great" and "excellent".  Their salesman Chris had a great time helping them.  He offered Mack a free drink at his bar-sorry Henry but he doesn't drink!
