Gallery Furniture's Prize Steer Post Oak Relaxing in Liberty, TX

Gallery Furniture's prized champion Post Oak is doing well in Liberty, TX amidst a gorgeous 20-Acre lot and has moved in with over twenty heads of fellow bovine friends and even has a personal fly catcher!  For those who were interested in how Post Oak was doing, Post Oak made it out fine (as did all the other beautiful animals, parrots included!) and seems quite happy and content to be alive and well in beautiful Liberty, TX relaxing in the sun and enjoying the country life after a stint as an urban bovine.

PostOak Laura, Gallery Furniture's Service Manager (who also helps with the livestock) said that Post Oak "was definitely living it up in the country" and was "definitely enjoying the outdoors and having a fly-catcher nearby and enjoying hanging out with other cows" - Post Oak then agreed to strike a pose in the field for Gallery Furniture, as shown in our photo here!

So just where is Post Oak?  Gallery Furniture's Service Manager Laura shed some light on that:  "We [Gallery Furniture] appealed to my friend Kathleen for a sanctuary for the Grand Champion.  Kathleen Burnam, and her husband J.C., have graciously allowed Post Oak to reside at their property during is time of displacement. Kathleen says "we enjoy having him and he is happy with herd."

Gallery Furniture is happy that all animals are safe, accounted for, and have new homes! (Please for click picture to left to enlarge).  Indeed, this is one Grand Champion living the grand life out in beautiful Liberty, TX.

What’s the hype with Microfiber?

115124846Microfiber is new age technology that has been labeled as the fabric of the future. Microfiber is fiber with very thin strands, (less than one denier).

It can be made to look like suede or leather, and makes very attractive furniture. For example, many manufacturers make excellent microfiber sofas. Fabrics made with microfibers are very soft, repels water, and can be cleaned though washing allowing you to maintain beautiful and clean furniture after accidents or spills.

Gallery Furniture sells a variety of microfiber furniture in order to provide you with furniture that is durable, water repellent, and will fit well in a single person home, or where there is a big family with children.

The microfiber furniture is a great choice for price conscious shoppers and those who want furniture to resist stains and dirt. A lovely choice is the Ashley Eli Galaxy sofa. The stylish contemporary design and plush pillow top makes the sofa fashionable and comforting.

The seating cushions are surrounded by thick padded arms and supportive back cushions. The artistically curved design with the clean look of the durable upholstery fabric comes together to create a beautiful contemporary style that will fit flawlessly into any living room decor.

101124840 The sofa also has a matching love-seat, sleeper sofa, and rocking recliner. Come to Gallery Furniture today to see the wonder of microfiber for yourself. Best of all you can buy it Today and get it Today!

Red Bull Visits Gallery Furniture

IMG_1491

The holiday season is passing, but the spirit of giving is not. Today Gallery Furniture’s employees were visited by the Red Bull street team Francis

and Diane.  The two Red Bull representatives work to spread awareness and promote the uses of Red Bull.

They were excited to let Gallery Furniture employees try the drink.   Red Bull is for those individuals who have busy schedules or want to be wide awake and active.  Francis and Diane insist, though that the benefits of

drinking Red Bull are obvious once you drink it.  " I had one this morning because I had a late night yesterday," said one of the reps.

The street team also passed out booklets that included information on how Red Bull increases performance, concentration and improves reaction speed, endurance, and stimulates the metabolism.

The Gallery Furniture’s delivery department was happy to receive the liquid energy boost. “Thanks girls, I drink ten    of these a week” said one employee to Francis.

From life size gingerbread furniture to being visited by the Red Bull beattle, you never know what exciting thing will happen at Gallery Furniture!

St Ambrose Catholic School

Homelogo Everyday Gallery Furniture thrives to make its customers very happy.  This past year Gallery Furniture donated over 35 homes to needy families that deserve a second chance this year.
Gallery Furniture received a letter from Bernadette a friend of one of the Christmas giveaways recipients and expressed her thankfulness that we were able to help her friend in need.

What makes this story special is George Ann was contacted by Bernadette, and told her how St Ambrose Catholic School was helping a family for the Christmas holidays.  And having the big heart Gallery Furniture has, we exceeded the giveaway limit to help this particular family in need. Bernadette couldn't have been happier for the help that was spread to others.

Gallery Furniture SAVES YOU MONEY and is there for a HELPING HAND!!

Wonderful Weekend Entertainment

IMG_0554You never know what you are going to find at Gallery Furniture. Today, for instance, was a completely normal Gallery Furniture Saturday: cookies were baking, kids were playing, families were eating, and youthful voices were singing all over the store!

Today, Gallery Furniture was treated to the talents of several local teenagers. The first of these wonderful youths was Vivian Moreno, 13, from Doerre Intermediate School. She took the grand stage and sang Christmas carols for our whole store. She opened with “Let it Snow” and closed with “Deck the Halls” and “Jingle Bell Rock”.

The 8th grader has been singing since she was four and is now a member of the Doerre Advanced Girls Choir. She was very excited to be here today and Gallery Furniture was more than happy to give her some time to shine.

IMG_0562 Today Gallery Furniture also had a group of High School students from Conroe High School, in Houston Texas. Conroe High School has one of the best theater programs in the nation! It was selected to go to the American High School Theater Festival in Scotland and in order to make that trip, they sought sponsorship from Gallery Furniture. As part of their sponsorship, the kids are spending some time at the store, walking around in costumes and interacting with customers. The kids love doing it because they said, “it’s a lot of fun!.”

Local Carolers Bring Holiday Tunes to Gallery Furniture

DSCF2976 Gallery Furniture recruited the best choirs throughout the Houston area to spread the Christmas spirit and holiday cheer this season. A group of over 60 students, the Chamber and Treble Choir from Magnolia Junior High School, were the first to sing on the grand stage yesterday.

“I got a call from the Magnolia Historical Society about the choirs performing, we were happy to come,” said choir director Lesa Smith. Assistant director Chris Price aided in helping the choir set up.

The choir opened with traditional Christmas songs “Joy to the World,” and “We wish you a Merry Christmas,” and closed with “Jingle Bell Rock”!

After performing several Christmas medleys the students got to enjoy delicious food at the Gallery Furniture Deli. “It was fun [to sing here]” said student Jasmin Yanez, “I like the store, and the food is good”

Turning Her Life Around

For the 25th year, Gallery Furniture is providing new furniture to 33 families in the Houston area during this holiday season.  These families were chosen by a judging committee from thousands of letters Gallery Furniture received this year.  This is the story of one of those families.

IMG_0095 Teri Bowman’s story is not like other people’s stories; four years ago she was incarcerated. Upon getting out of jail, she was homeless with only a box full of her things and $50 to her name. She was very strong willed and determined to regain her life, and she worked hard to be able to rent the current home she is living in and regain custody of her 4 children.

But what makes her story so special is that she accidentally saw her nomination email for the Gallery Furniture Giveaways. She immediately wrote to Gallery Furniture thanking them for the opportunity, but felt that it was unfair that she saw the email and that she was not worthy of the opportunity. The judges respected her honesty and made the decision to furnish her home regardless.

Terri was very surprised to the Gallery Furniture trucks pull up to unload a house full of furniture for her! “Last night my son told me that he was praying for a bed. Prayers really do come true.” Terri said as the delivery of beds was being brought into the house.

Light at the End of the Tunnel

For the 25th year, Gallery Furniture is providing new furniture to 33 families in the Houston area during this holiday season.  These families were chosen by a judging committee from thousands of letters Gallery Furniture received this year.  This is the story of one of those families.

Darbi’s life was falling apart. She had been involved in an abusive relationship and after one incidence she was beaten, stabbed and left for dead by her husband. Her children found her when they got home from school and called 911 immediately.

IMG_0013
Despite this unfortunate circumstance, she has been working to support her children and is trying to provide them with a nice Christmas. Ever since her husband left, the 3 children have been sleeping on the floor. Little did Darbi know that she had very good friends that cared about her and wrote to Gallery Furniture to tell Darbi’s story.

Gallery Furniture showed her the light at the end of the tunnel by furnishing her entire home. The 3 children now have bunk beds and no longer have to sleep on the floor; they also have a table to enjoy their Christmas dinner. Their living room is now full of 4 plush chairs.

“I am so blessed! God is good!” exclaimed Darbi when she saw all that Gallery had brought.

Gallery Furniture the and St. Luke Episcopal Hospital Blood Drive

IMG_2248St. Luke’s had a blood drive today in the Gallery Furniture Parking lot, and Aggie Intern Janelle Colborn (shown here, on the left) was one of the many who have a gift that keeps on giving.

Many generous people stopped by Gallery Furniture to give blood before they even get into the store.  Some folks found Aggie Intern Sarah Taylor, who was walking around Gallery Furniture with a clip board and allowing people to stop, sign up, and then shop before they gave.  Employees and customers alike came together at Gallery Furniture to give the gift of life by donating blood.   Donating blood is the best Christmas gift somebody could give or receive, because it is truly giving life to the recipient.  Blood Transfusions can extremely better the quality of someone’s life, if not save them all together in critical situations.  Giving blood just once can save up to three lives - so St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital teamed up with Gallery Furniture to make a major impact on the lives of those in the community.

Many Gallery Furniture employees stood in the same line with Gallery Furniture customers.  Many of those same employees were the behind-the-scenes folks that customers never meet - and so it was a unique chance for customers to talk to Gallery Furniture staff and get to know the Gallery Furniture team while waiting their turn to give the gift of life.
