World renowned  interior deisgner Bill Stubbs is coming to High Point, North Carolina as part of the Gallery Furniture buying team and he's bringing his ideas, his style, and his eye for all things beautiful to the Gallery Furniture High Point market team.

He's a hard-working member of the Gallery Furniture family, and Gallery Furniture is obviously honored to have him part of the High Point market team and the customers who have joined us as buyers are giddy with anticipation for his arrival today.  Personally, we all are awaiting Bill, and we can't wait.

Unassuming and down-to-earth Bill Stubbs is a designer who stays true to his Texas roots by being a gentleman and kind and always being a listener and understanding the needs of his clients.  In short, he shares Gallery Furniture values of being customer-centric and committed to bringing quality and improving your life through furniture and design.

Here's A Little Gallery Furniture Inside Information...

On September 3rd, when Gallery Furniture held the grand opening of Phase II of the Big Showroom at 6006 North Freeway - the great celebration of being 100% open - it came as no surprise that the Bill Stubbs inspirational rooms were not just stunningly perfect, but a huge hit.  Furniture, accessories, rugs, bed spreads, flooring, the art work and pictures, all combined in harmony to make the perfect home.  The effect was so powerful because Bill is a master at tying at everything together to create the perfect look - after all Bill, Stubbs is an artist in his own right.  This perfection then led Bill to make me promise him not to sell any of the floor models for at least three months so that the showroom would look brand new for some time to come. 

Well, no sooner had the Gallery Furniture showroom opened at 10:00 a.m. following the live broadcast of Houston's very own Great Day Houston with Deborah Duncan that a customer entered the inspirational showrooms at 10:30.  Well, she was so inspired by the work Bill Stubbs had done with the Gallery Furniture inspirational room that she turned to a salesperson and said "I want to buy all of this, just as it is shown in this room." 

I shamelessly told Bill Stubbs "Sorry, Bill, I gotta make the sale." 

The customer's order of Bill Stubbs' inspirational home was completely, flawlessly, and precisely delivered to the customer about to two days later.  At this point, Bill was scrambling to refurnish and redecorate the now empty inspirational home - and I am pleased to announce Bill had that Gallery Furniture inspirational home back to 100% in true Gallery Furniture fashion - fast, fast, fast.  I told Bill, "You know, your furniture and accessories look great in those rooms… but I gotta take care of the customer!"

Bill smiled.  I am pretty sure he understood.  After all, at Gallery Furniture, it's all about taking care of the customers - TODAY and every day.

Great Day at Gallery Furniture

Gallery Furniture started at 100% this morning with a great gift for customers and a visit from Houston's very own Deborah Duncan and her show, Great Day Houston (which airs live daily on KHOU, Channel 11, at 9:00 a.m.).

Customers waited through the night to not just be a part of Gallery Furniture's 100% Celebration, they waited to be the first customers in the store and receive a $500 Gift Certificate as well as a seat in the audience for the Great Day Houston show!  The first 100 through the doors this morning at 8:00 a.m. received a Gallery Furniture Gift Certificate and were selected as audience members. The next 100 customers through the doors of the world's greatest furniture store also received a $500 Gift Certificate and had standing room only to watch as Gallery Furniture went live and showcased the new showroom, exciting new rugs display, the Princess Castle & surrounding children's furniture area, the new and improved playground for kids, the QWebL Home Automation system, the inspirational home set ups, and got a tour of the new vignette display at Gallery Furniture.

First up with Deborah on the Great Day Houston show was Mack, Emergency Operations Assistant Chief Carl Matejka, and Gallery Furniture Sculptor Bob Mosier.  Gallery Furniture thanked the Houston Fire Department for their tremendous work in saving the showroom, and several members of the brave members of HFD who battled that blaze were on hand to receive a rousing standing ovation from the Deborah Duncan audience.

Gallery Furniture decorator Mike Burns and world-renowned Bill Stubbs then appeared with Mack and went over some of the new and novel concepts going on TODAY at Gallery Furniture that make up the DNA of the store being at 100% - highlighting design ideas and store concepts and showcasing the new inspiration homes now on display at Gallery Furniture.

Mattress Mack also highlighted the new Build-A-Sofa Workshop here at Gallery Furniture - a first for any store, anywhere in the world.  As Mack said on the Deborah Duncan show, "well, I was inspired by the Build-A-Bear workshop in the Galleria!" and now Gallery Furniture makes history as customers will have a chance to pick a style, fabric, and pillows and watch as their custom built sofa comes to life within hours.  Gallery Furniture exists to serve and delight customers with big savings, big selection, and same day delivery - and now add to that the ability to have furniture made your way TODAY!

 

Great Day Houston then spent some time with Mack and Robert Williams, the animal handler at Gallery Furniture responsible for handling both the birds and the new Gallery Furniture monkeys!

Mattress Mack then took time to honor long-time Gallery Furniture employees such as Daryl Luckett, Dolores Webber, Matt Pitcher, Roy Ortega, and Jimmy Tran - combined, they have over 75 years of experience at Gallery Furniture, and Deborah Duncan's audience "ooohed" and "ahhhhed" as numbers such as "23 years" were spoken to state number of years of service at Gallery Furniture.  Folks just don't see that much these days at companies, though at Gallery Furniture years of service are what customers get - experts exist in every aspect of Gallery Furniture to delight customers daily!

Gallery Furniture was happy to have world-renonwed decorator Bill Stubbs take time to show Houstonians how to decorate quickly and simply, and gave tips throughout the Great Day Houston show.   In case you didn't know, Bill Stubbs has his own show, "Moment of Luxury" on PBS - of which Gallery Furniture is a proud sponsor of.

To top if all off, Gallery Furniture then gave one lucky customer a $5,000 Gift Certificate, and the lucky winner, Mike Gatewood, had (by coincedence) drawn number 31 on the Gift Certificate (which, if you see the new Gallery Furniture logo, is a number held dear to the Gallery Furniture family, as it represents the 31 fire stations that battled the fierce warehouse inferno!)
