Red Bull Visits Gallery Furniture

IMG_1491

The holiday season is passing, but the spirit of giving is not. Today Gallery Furniture’s employees were visited by the Red Bull street team Francis

and Diane.  The two Red Bull representatives work to spread awareness and promote the uses of Red Bull.

They were excited to let Gallery Furniture employees try the drink.   Red Bull is for those individuals who have busy schedules or want to be wide awake and active.  Francis and Diane insist, though that the benefits of

drinking Red Bull are obvious once you drink it.  " I had one this morning because I had a late night yesterday," said one of the reps.

The street team also passed out booklets that included information on how Red Bull increases performance, concentration and improves reaction speed, endurance, and stimulates the metabolism.

The Gallery Furniture’s delivery department was happy to receive the liquid energy boost. “Thanks girls, I drink ten    of these a week” said one employee to Francis.

From life size gingerbread furniture to being visited by the Red Bull beattle, you never know what exciting thing will happen at Gallery Furniture!

Aggie Intern Experience

Aggie Intern Gives Her Update!

IMG_1115  By Angel Hadnott: HOWDY!  I'm an Agricultural Journalism and Communications major at Texas A&M University. Before coming to Gallery Furniture, I didn't know a lot about furniture.  I knew the difference between a couch and a sectional, but had little knowledge of what a credenza was.  Working at Gallery Furniture has taught me a lot about the work and operations that carried out to make sure that Houston and surrounding areas receive quality furniture in a timely manner.

Since being employed at Gallery Furniture, I have had the opportunity to work as a cashier in the Finance Department, a blogger in the Marketing Department, and a salesperson and greeter. One of the unique aspects of this internships at Gallery Furniture is the room it allows for you to advance, excel in whatever fields you desire or are willing to learn!  Working in the different areas of the store has allowed me to gain the professional experience that many employers look for in a resume.

IMG_1114 I am very grateful for the opportunity to work for Mattress Mack. Though I have only been here two weeks, I have learned a lot about how a business works, and how valuable it is to put the customer first. One of the lessons that I will take with me from this internship is that the customer matters, and to treat people in business and personal relationships fairly. If you have never been to Gallery Furniture,  I urge you to visit today. It is not only a great place to work, but a great place to shop.

Old Traditions Never Die

IMG_0977 The honor that a man of service provides is priceless. He goes above and beyond for his loved ones and his country with only one question, “How can I serve?”  And the question one raises - what is all that he stands for when he stands for so much?  Service to our country comes from a long line of tradition, honor, loyalty, and duty - these honorable people spend countless hours away from home and holidays alone.  These men and women often leave peace and comfort behind whilst defending our great nation.

Beyond this is the fact that the men and women of the armed forces hold on to old traditions such as writing a note to say thanks or as an expression of gratitude for contributions.  Men and women in the service are mindful of the many Americans that pray, give, and shed tears for their safety and well being and the fact that they take time to write thank-you notes says a lot about holding on to solid values.

Every time a cadet or member of the service looks at the medal, uniform, or marches in the name of the United States of America, pride and honor is recognized for their selfless acts. Although all may often think about home and family, the honorable men and woman remain loyal to one another and their country in the face of uncertain circumstances.  That is why Gallery Furniture is a proud contributor to the United States Organization (USO), a non-profit that serves those who serve the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And even in the face of danger, of all that a service member goes through, the fact that they take time to sit down and write a thank-you letter is a warm gesture that resonates with Gallery Furniture.  Living in times that change so swift and seeing many people that compromise integrity in the name for getting things done the easy way, Gallery Furniture is delighted to see that the young men and women of the armed forces are a reminder of what it means to represent honor, duty, loyalty, and tradition.

Brooke Maxey, Gallery Furniture Aggie Intern, above, works at putting together a framed collage of all the thank-you letters received by Gallery Furniture as a token of thanks for the contributions Gallery Furniture has made to the USO.

The Night Owls of Gallery Furniture

IMG_4742 Gallery Furniture pays very close attention to detail in the store, but even the best eyes miss the little details. All of the Aggie sales interns were told to make a list of 20 things that could be improved in the    store. All of the interns went off on their separate ways and started   a scavenger hunt for improvement. At the end of the day they turned their lists in and they were compiled into one master list for Mattress Mack to look over.  Gallery Furniture then organized a force of 6 dedicated guys who were willing to come in and make the necessary improvements often in the late afternoon and working into the early morning hours.

Painting_supplies This group of young men come into the store at 6:00 pm.  They figure out what they will be doing for the night and then head to the hardware store to get the needed supplies. The next time they step out of the store is around 4:30 am.  They spend much of the night cleaning vents, painting walls, straightening pictures, fixing up rugs, and  in general sprucing the place up to make a wonderful shopping experience for Gallery Furniture customers.

“We are basically the only people here from 11:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., except for a few of the drivers that are finishing up their late night deliveries” says Fabian, one of the 6 working on the project, said. Gallery Furniture appreciates the fresh pair of eyes and the things around the store they found.  The 6 guys are working very hard to accomplish everything on the list and the store is already in better shape.

Come on in and see all of the improvements Gallery Furniture has been making TODAY!

Easy Holiday Shopping at Gallery Furniture

Lane recliner  How many of you are looking for the ultimate comfortable chair to kick up your feet and watch TV in? Or…maybe, you’re shopping for your parents or grandparents and give them a place to recline after work or just for leisure.

Folks... You are not alone; a past Gallery Furniture intern was looking for the same thing. Thomas, a former Gallery Furniture intern and current student at University of North Texas was looking for a recliner. The recliner was intended as a Christmas gift for his father with back problems. One of the friendly sales associates, John, helped Thomas find a Lane Recliner to solve his father’s back problem and get his father relaxation needs in time for the holidays!

Past interns of Gallery Furniture just can’t stay away from the awesome store, the great environment, and the joy they feel in being part of the Gallery Furniture family.  After all. Thomas knew that Gallery Furniture is the only store in Houston that he could walk-in and walk-out with SAME DAY DELIVERY for his grandpa's Lane recliner. He was convinced that his dad would love the comfortable high quality recliner and that his Christmas would be unforgettable.  You and your loved ones deserve the best. Come into Gallery Furniture and buy the best TODAY and have the best DELIVERED TODAY!

More than Just Furniture

Dax2 Gallery Furniture has more to offer than just furniture, not least of which is the fantastic customer service that employees have become known for. Dax, one of Gallery Furniture’s employees, recently helped a family that has just moved to Texas from Mexico. The family had a huge house and nothing to put into it, but knew Gallery Furniture was a leading store in furniture and decided to visit. Well-known as Gallery Furniture is, they had no idea how well their needs would be met. They furnished room by room for their home, finding coordinating furniture for each room as they went. The family was extremely pleased with their purchase and couldn’t be more grateful for the service.

Visit Gallery Furniture to experience wonderful customer service, an enormous selection of furniture, and the only store that can get your furniture in your home TODAY!
