Gallery Furniture is ready for the switch to digital television -- are you?
You've probably heard a lot about the switch to digital television -- and you'll hear more as February 17 approaches. That's the day when analog TV, the kind of TV we've known for the last 50 years, goes away and the new digital transmission system takes effect.
That means you'll have to get a digital-to-analog converter to continue to see over the air television on your old analog-only set. (You don't need to do anything if you're on cable or satellite. Learn more about digital television at the Federal Communications Commission web site www.dtv.gov.)
A lot of people are taking this opportunity to buy a new high definition television that can receive digital signals and let you take advantage of high definition signals. If that's you, Gallery Furniture is ready to help with a large selection of HDTVs from Sony, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, and other manufacturers. Not to mention the surround sound systems will make watching television a new experience in sound as well as sight.
When you get that new television, make sure you've got a place to put it. An old entertainment center may not be big enough for that big screen TV you want, and a small screen that will fit the old unit may not give you the high definition experience you crave. That's why Gallery Furniture has a huge selection of new entertainment centers and television consoles designed for the bigger televisions.
Take a look at the new plasma consoles from HTD. Make from solid plantation grown mango wood, these TV consoles are good looking, functional, and tough.
You may prefer a wall unit. If that's the case, Gallery Furniture has them from top notch manufacturers.
Even better, Gallery Furniture's home theater experts can help you match the right entertainment center to your new HDTV, and our crack delivery teams can get both of them set up in your home tonight.
The big digital to analog TV switch is nothing to worry about, in fact it's your chance to move up to a great home theater experience instead of just watching TV!
Gallery Furniture is ready to make it happen for you.

A converter box can be used to receive broadcast DTV signals and change them into the format of your current television. In addition, if you use your analog set with a multichannel pay service like cable or satellite, it will continue to work as it always has. Even with a converter box
