In the course of 27 years in business, Gallery Furniture has had many business partners, quite a few of which have become loyal customers. One such business partner and loyal customer is Larry Enzer, whose work for InMarket Media has allowed Mattress Mack to advertise on the PA systems of such popular Houston stores as Walgreens and Kroger.

Like many of Gallery Furniture’s business partners, Mr. Enzer loves doing work for the Gallery Furniture because he believes in the quality merchandise provided to customers. “In March of 07, I had carotid artery surgery, to relieve blockage on my left side. Because of that, and minor heart problems, I visit the doctor monthly. About three months ago I started to experience pains in both of my upper legs. I right away thought the worst, and avoided my doctors visits. Going to New Heights - and Lengths - to Deliver Your Furniture

Gallery Furniture has been known to go to amazing lengths to satisfy our customers, but a recent delivery in Galveston goes above and beyond the usual.

Gallery Furniture received an order Saturday morning for a Kreiss sofa and bed and Saturday afternoon the delivery truck was on its way. After hauling the headboard and footboard up 4 flights of stairs to the condo door, the delivery team of Big Roy, Jeff, Boss Man, Tran, Irvin, and Kevin realized that the furniture absolutely would not fit through the apartment door. They walked the pieces all the way back down to ground level and hoisted them over the front balcony in hopes of getting a better angle on the front door. When the furniture still wouldn’t fit through the door, the team acted in true Gallery Furniture fashion and set about finding a prompt way to solve the problem.

The kind of diligence and creativity displayed by this Gallery Furniture delivery team is an excellent example of the kind of customer service the company is built upon. In fact, they’ll be back at the same complex tomorrow to deliver furniture to another one of our fabulous customers!

Completing Your Home Collection

John R. and his wife from Houston, TX found themselves at Gallery Furniture early last Saturday morning looking to furnish their new home. They were searching for the breakfast table to add to their dining area. And they found it! John was ecstatic to find the perfect dining set for their new home.

Later that night, he called the store and Gil Velasquez, Marketing and Internet Specialist and proud member of the Fighting Texas Aggies Class of 1996 (WHOOP), picked up the phone. John told Gil he was looking for a cocktail table for the den adjacent to his dining room. He told Gil about the purchase he made earlier, and would really love to purchase a table which matched the collection he bought earlier that day.

John told Gil about a table he purchased at one of our competitors, but it was backordered; he needed to get a table that was functional and stylish for his new home. Gil understood the need for a new home to feel just as comfortable as the previous. Using the Gallery Furniture computer system, Gil was able to review the order from earlier in the day, and find a matching cocktail table from the same collection as the breakfast table.

Gil gave the SKU number on the cocktail table to John over the phone, and John was able to look up the cocktail table on GalleryFurniture.com. He was thrilled to find a matching table. John placed an order at 5:30pm over the phone and got his delivery at 8:40pm.

Denise H. from Tomball, Texas experienced the efficiency of the Gallery Furniture team. She came to Gallery Furniture in search of a bedroom set. She spoke to Walter Smith, one of our fine sales associates, who was able to pinpoint furniture most capable of fitting Denise’s needs. After she selected her beautiful pine loft, she spoke to our cashier Myra, who Denise found exceptionally helpful and friendly.   

Denise, a returning customer, saw some of our television commercials and was compelled to visit us at 6006 North Fwy. She made her purchase with no hassle. When she received her furniture, everything was received in the condition promised, but unfortunately there was a small problem. Denise accidentally ordered the wrong mattress for her bed frame. She could have worried, could have gotten upset, but Denise purchased a mattress from the only furniture store that excels in customer service. Concerned, Denise called the store and spoke to Kim, one of our customer service representatives. Kim almost effortlessly exchanged the incorrect mattress, and arranged for Denise to get her new mattress quickly. Denise then spoke to Isaac, our delivery associate, who dispatched the delivery. Denise got her new mattress without any aggravation – sometimes these small mistakes happen. Here at Gallery Furniture, we understand that.

Aggie Intern Evan spoke on the phone with Denise, who was delighted with her new mattress. After a brief conversation, Evan discovered Denise is a proud Aggie Mom! Like many Houstonians, she has a whole family that Bleeds Maroon.  So from all of the Ags at Gallery Furniture, “Thanks and Gig’em Denise!”

Satisfied Customers: The Hits Just Keep on Comin'

Gallery Furniture is always delighted to hear from a satisfied customer, whether by phone, e-mail, or even regular mail. Recently the following letter was received from Jim T., who was very pleased with his shopping experience:

“I wanted to take a few minutes to share my recent experience at your store, and to assure you the employees I encountered all embraced the notion of Quality Management, Customer First, or whatever pop name is now assigned to W. Deming’s work.

"On May 26th I visited your store with the hope of purchasing an HDTV for use in a small, home office room. When I entered the “TV area”, your associate Al (initials AXM) offered to assist me. I described what I was looking for (LCD between 32-40 inches) and Al showed me two or three different sets. There was no attempt to show me anything other than what I had outlined. From the outset it was clear Al was trying to match product to my needs, not his, yours or anyone else’s goals. He answered all of my questions, and when he was unsure, he looked up the specifics of my inquiry. Once I decided on a set, he assisted me in locating appropriate size stand and offered some meaningful suggestions. Al wasn’t selling an HDTV & stand; he was meeting a customer’s needs.

"Leaving Al, I was escorted to the cashier’s window. There was a delay of about 5-10 minutes while a serial number entry was clarified. During this time the cashier stayed engaged with me, apologized for the delay, and most importantly, did not ignore me. Her attitude was upbeat and professional. She clearly conveyed the message that my purchase and my presence were important to her.

"The gentleman who loaded the TV stand into my car was cordial and professional. He explained that I would pick up the HDTV at another location. The gentleman at that location was also prompt in locating my order and placing it into my vehicle.

"While most of my time was spent with Al, I wanted to make clear that all of the folks mentioned conveyed to me that I was an important customer, and that my needs were important to them. That is so refreshing in contrast to the employees we all encounter at other stores who treat us like interruptions or annoyances."
