Kathy P. of Houston, TX called Gallery Furniture at 9:55 last night... and Laura from the Customer Service Department picked up the phone.
Kathy P. said that "I asked Laura what time Gallery Furniture closed, and she said '10:00 p.m.' so I replied that I can call back in the morning... Laura then tells me 'Ma'am, I can help you, what do you need?"

Hello Mr Mattress Mack. I am writing to let you know about me and my wife and how we are taking care of 2 children at the age of (girl)10 yrs and (boy)14 yrs that we are taking care of because of their mother and father are in recovery from drugs and alcohol. I myself am a Chemical dependency counselor and my wife is a medication aide for the prison system. We both have to drive back and forth from Houston to Baytown and my car just recently broke down and we are in need of a car because this one that I have just is not doing it. The children are happy but we cannot afford to really bless them for Christmas as we would love to. But I know that our God will provide. It is kind of hard on us but we will not complain we just "walk by faith and not by sight". Just to know that God does use folks like you to help others is a Blessing to me. Their maybe others in worse conditon than us and we are very grateful or may I say content in where we are. I just heard you make mention of this on Praise 92.1 on the Yolanda Adams morning show and it was in my spirit to ask. Just want to say God Bless you and keep up the good work you are doing to help others. Thank you.

Happy Thanksgiving- I watched Mack this morning on a commercial say that he would assist 30 needy families with furniture. And I wanted to submit this- My name is Jacqueline Lewis and I got laid off like so many people and have lost so many things as a result. And I am just getting started back again. I have a contract job making very little money and not able to buy any furniture. But my prayer is I will be one of the fortunate recipients to receive a blessings fom the man of blessings"Mattress Mack" the crazy things is I'm always helping eveyone whenever I can. And I know God will extend the hand of blessings back my way. I want to say in closing as bad as I need furniture if there is a family more needing and deserving than please bless them.
