Gallery Furniture has a core commitment value to customer service and to community service. Gallery Furniture encourage all our Houston area employees to be great to customers and to the community TODAY and every day. With that, we had an employee at the Houston Mayor's Downtown Holiday Celebration put on by the Mayor's Office of Special Events - those folks down there are cracker jack team who can get the job done for Mayor White. Headed up by Director Susan Christian, this top notch group worked with KHOU Channel 11 to promote the Houston Mayor's Downtown Holiday Celebration.
Here's our Gallery Furniture employee with a few photos and what not from the event:
Countdown to begin - the lights are in place, the stage is set, the sound is hooked up, and now comes the time to wait as we begin the Houston Mayor's Downtown Celebration. The scene - stage right as tesions mount. What most counts at moments like these at City Hall is precision - with KHOU Channel 11 taping and emcees Deborah Duncan and Ron Trevino of KHOU morning news fame, it needs to hit the mark.
Here we go - your Gallery Furniture employee volunteers his time and keeps time backstage, making sure that cues and marks are hit on snap for the Houston Mayor's Downtown Holiday Celebration. The Mayor of Houston, Bill White, will be on stage, as will Downtown District president Bob Eury. Things have got to go well. Rehearsal is over. The stage is set, and Gallery Furniture is backstage at City Hall's upper level plaza facing One Shell Plaza.
Santa breaks the backstage tension by making his presence known. It's always a cheer to have Santa visit Houston's City Hall for the Houston Mayor's Downtown Celebration. Becky in the foreground from KHOU Channel 11 is not too happy with a tech on the radio who says there is a delay. Time is money, naturally, in the media business, and Becky knows this and like all good producers, she needs results.
Parker Elementary Choral Group waits in the wings in front of Houston's City Hall for their chance to be a part of the Mayor's Downtown Holiday Celebration in Houston. The young lady in the front is going over her last minute wraps in her head, as seen here. It's one of those things that is the mark of a future star, and Gallery Furniture is here to witness it.
110 Voices combine to make the Bayou City Chorale Happen, and herethey are in all their glory singing beautiful Holiday music to the Houstonians watching on the City Hall plaza and around the Houston City Hall Reflection Pool. In the foreground is a camera girl for KHOU.
Planet Funk's Unique Urban style comes to play as they perform Christmas funk and hip-hop for Houstonians at the Houston Downtown Holiday Celebration. Wow! Watch that breakdancing, that is something else. Reminds Gallery Furniture customers of the ol' breakdancing days from the 80's!
Groupo Ka-Che of Houston, voted best Latin Band by Houston Chronicle, fires it up and adds a tango twist to the classic "Santa Clause is coming To Town!" - you better watch up, this spicy version had the Houston crowd at the Houston Mayor's Downtown Holiday Celebration twistin' and turning. In the foreground, a tech holds a wire chord for a camerawoman.
Susana Collins Tango Productions does a cute and fun version of "Santa Baby" for the Houston crowd, in the background we can see Houston's City Hall lit as it should be - in beautiful Holiday colors. It is gorgeous, and the Santa Baby production went without a hitch. In the foreground is the accordian player who is enjoying his art! Gallery Furniture sure is excited to bring you these exciting pictures of the Houston Mayor's Downtown Celebration.
Deborah Duncan from KHOU Channel 11 of morning anchor fame does a fabulous rendition of "A Christmas Song" - yes, folks, she not only delivers a fabulous morning broadcast, but she sings fabulously well to boot! Gallery Furniture is proud to share the same home, the great City of Houston, as Deborah Duncan! Way to go Deborah!
Fireworks close the great celebration of the Mayor's Downtown Houston Holiday Celebration in Houston, Texas. From the Upper Plaza area of City Hall, we are looking down the reflection pool towards One Shell Plaza building in Houston as behind the tree come a cadre of fireworks to kick off the Christmas season.
The Downtown Houston Christmas Tree, now lit and standing as a beacon of peace, hope, and love this Holiday Season. Gallery Furniture was happy to bring you this coverage of the Mayor's Downtown Houston Holiday Celebration from Houston City Hall at 901 Bagby.
These exciting pictures are brough to you by Gallery Furniture's employees who love to volunteer at wonderful, family filled events like the Mayor's Downtonw Houston Holiday Celebration. We are proud to be a part of the great City of Houston, which we all call home!

The mortgage loans seem to be useful for guys, which are willing to ground their company. In fact, it's very easy to get a sba loan.

Actually, I'm not all that interested in the subject of photography. Once the picture is in the box, I'm not all that interested in what happens next. Hunters, after all, aren't cooks. ~Henri Cartier-Bresson

The thing I like about my body is that it's strong. I can move furniture around my apartment. I can ride my horse... I can play basketball. It's a well functioning machine.
