At Gallery Furniture it's all about taking care of you, our GREAT customers! Recently a customer came in and said she waited for three days for the other furniture store to deliver her mattress. She took work off half the day Wednesday from noon to 6pm and NO show! The furniture store called at 7pm saying they will deliver on Thursday guaranteed. The customer took off another day of work Thursday from noon to 6pm and again NO show. They had gone on a Tuesday afternoon to one of our big store competitors and bought $21,000 worth of furniture. They wanted it delivered on Friday to Austin, TX. The store said, "No problem." Customers got home and got a phone call from the store saying, "No we can't deliver your furniture by Friday. Come in tomorrow morning for a meeting with the warehouse manager to see how quickly he can schedule a delivery to Austin." The customers went into the meeting and the warehouse manager said, "No we can't do it." When they got back home, a salesman called saying, "Yes we can do it." This happened all day Tuesday and all day Wednesday. Finally Thursday at noon, the store said, "NO WAY! We don't deliver from Houston to Austin." The customers got a refund of $21,000.

The customer is always right! Gallery Furniture recently received this letter from one of our satisfied customers.

Recently, I ordered a Tempur-Pedic mattress set for my 89 year old mother, Helen. She has been having back problems and we realized it might be time to replace her mattress foundation. On the advice of a satisfied friend, who also recently purchased a new Tempur-Pedic mattress set from Gallery Furniture,  we made plans to stop by your location on the north freeway. Upon entering GF, we were greeted and led to the bedroom department being introduced to Brandon. He was especially patient and knowledgeable.

Without going into all the details, I want to take a minute to let you know how pleasant and efficient ALL the employees were! I can honestly say I do not recall having had such OUTSTANDING customer service from any retail business in my life! The two men delivering the Tempur-Pedic adjustable sleep set were very knowledgeable and professional. There were some problems and a little follow-up from Mike Kelly, who runs your service department. Mike was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and available. I appreciate the follow-up of your staff and letting me know when the delivery would be made and the additional calls they made when there was a change in the schedule.

As a customer and prior small business owner, I appreciated the promptness of customer service. Everyone answered the phone treating my call as if it was their only call and answered questions, solving problems quickly and efficiently. Rather than enjoying her Tempur-Pedic adjustable sleep set, my mother still has some back problems, but I think that the mattress set has alleviated part of the problem!

Two years ago I bought a Berkline lift recliner for my 86 year old uncle who lives in Wharton, TX. This lift recliner is actually his bed at night. Two weeks ago he called me stating that his lift recliner would not work and he's going to have to sleep in his wheelchair. I immediately called the GF Service Center and I was amazed to see that it was open on Saturday night! I explained to Laura the urgency in repairing this lift recliner. She put me in touch with an outstanding gentleman named Big Roy. On Sunday the next day, Big Roy drove 70 miles to Wharton, TX and repaired the lift recliner.

My aunt and uncle were ecstatic at the quick service but more importantly, at what a nice, professional serviceman Big Roy was! I just really want to share with employers the great job and image GF employees are providing for their company. It meant so much to my aunt and uncle that they sent Big Roy home with a bunch of homegrown tomatoes! Thank you for your great response to this emergency and for people on your payroll, like Big Roy, who really do care about GF's customers!
